Odd letter out: Vowel and Consonant
Odd one out is one of the most important topic for competitive exams. Mainly this kind of questions comes under the umbrella term called " General Intelligence". Actually there are absolutely no systematic way to attack this kind of questions, but systematic practice can make people comfortable to deal with these.
In this section, there will be set of letters in each question and our job will be to distinguish the odd letter. Let's start with a very simple example.
1. Find the odd letter from the following set of letters. E, H, U, O, A ?
You should observe that all letter except H is vowel. So H is the odd one.
Now let me ask a similar question which is based on the consonant.
2. Find the odd letter from the following set of letters. K, H, U, M, B ?
3. Find the odd letter from the following set of letters. F, V, P, M, B ?
Now, in question 3, all the letters are consonant. So, the previous trick will not work here. The hint is to observe the letter which is just before or after the given set of letters.
E F , U V, O P, L M, A B

Here, the previous letters of all but M are vowels. So M is the answer.
Many such questions can be made.
4. Find the odd letter from the following set of letters. T, N, H, D, L ?
